Tacita Dean 

Tacita Dean was born in 1965 in Canterbury, in Kent (England). She was educated in Canterbury, at Kent College. Later, she studied at Falmouth School of Art and graduated in 1988. After this she studied the Masters degree at the Slade School of Fine Art and in 1995 she appeared in the General Release as one of the most important artists : Young British Artists.

She went to live to London in 1997. That same year she began doing exhibitions and in 2001 she was given a show in one of the most important museums in London: the Tate Britain.

Previously, in 2000, she had been awarded with a one-year scholarship in Berlin. Once she was there, she dedicated her attention to the architecture and cultural history of Germany and made films about it.  

In 2009  she did her first exhibition in Milan, Italy. She presented a selection of 14 works.

Nowadays she lives and works in Berlin.
